Facing the bleak choices of military court or furthering their perilous journey, they opt for redemption by tackling the daunting task of disarming a notorious minefield. Along the way, they encounter an Italian deserter yearning to join the Partigiano resistance and a weary German officer disillusioned by combat. With unexpected alliances forming, these soldiers embark on a mission that defies the odds and challenges the very nature of enmity.
