Set against the harrowing backdrop of the Sobibor concentration camp in 1943, this gripping drama chronicles the extraordinary true story of Soviet-Jewish lieutenant Alexander Pechersky. Captured by the Nazis and thrust into a nightmarish existence where countless lives were extinguished, he orchestrates a daring uprising within weeks. Rallying prisoners from across Poland and Western Europe, Alexander's bold plan culminates in a historic revolt, marking it as the only successful mass escape from a Nazi camp during the war. The film powerfully highlights resilience and the indomitable spirit of those who fought against oppression.
