Sir William Walker, a seasoned mercenary, orchestrates a slave uprising on the Caribbean island of Queimada to bolster British sugar profits. His intervention initially seems successful, but years later, he is dispatched back to the island to confront the very rebels he empowered, as their growing strength now jeopardizes British economic interests. Walker's mission takes a dark turn as he grapples with the consequences of his earlier actions and the complex dynamics of power and exploitation in this gripping tale of colonial ambition.
