Throughout her career, Pepper appeared in various films, including notable roles in classics like "My Fair Lady" and "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World." She also lent her voice to radio productions. In 1943, she married actor Craig Reynolds, with whom she had two sons. As her appearance changed, Pepper's acting opportunities shifted primarily to character roles on television. She featured in several iconic shows, including "I Love Lucy," "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show," and "Petticoat Junction." Her portrayal of Doris Ziffel continued on "Green Acres" from 1965 until health issues forced her departure in 1968. Barbara Pepper's final film appearance was in "Hook, Line & Sinker" in 1969, shortly before her passing on July 18, 1969.
