Set against the backdrop of World War I, three young men in a quiet English village navigate their own battles at home. George stands firm as a conscientious objector, while Cecil grapples with flat feet that exempt him from service. Then there's Bert, whose cowardice is painfully evident. Though they may not be on the front lines, their personal conflicts and humorous escapades with one another reveal a different kind of struggle, blending comedy and poignant moments in an era marked by heroism and sacrifice.
