Ivica Kičmanović’s life unfolds from a humble childhood into a slow, tragic unraveling. As he climbs the social ladder, his path crosses Laura, a magnetic and destructive femme fatale whose allure proves his undoing. Across nine episodes, his ambition and innocence erode, leading him step by step toward personal and moral collapse. The story traces his rise and inevitable fall, a cautionary tale of desire, weakness, and consequence set against the backdrop of 19th-century Croatian society.
