In 1854, in the Washington Territory, two contrasting families find their destinies intertwined. One is steeped in wealth and lineage, while the other consists of orphans and misfits bonded by love and survival. Their fates converge through a pair of crimes, a dark secret, a doomed romance, and a parcel of land hiding silver beneath its surface. This clash highlights the American conflict between the privileged and the underprivileged, all unfolding in a region where justice seems just out of reach.
