Les Misérables

Set against the backdrop of France in 1815, Jean Valjean emerges from 19 years of imprisonment, seeking redemption after a lifetime of hardship. A minor misstep reignites the relentless pursuit by Inspector Javert, whose obsessive commitment to justice complicates Valjean's quest for a virtuous life. As Valjean transforms and dedicates himself to altruism, the turmoil of the Paris uprising in 1832 brings their destinies to a dramatic confrontation. The tension between the two men encapsulates the struggle for freedom and morality amidst societal chaos.
