Starring Penelope Keith as Caroline Fairchild, a determined middle-aged woman re-entering the workforce, the series explores the comedic dynamics of her home and job. Geoffrey Palmer originally portrayed her husband, Donald, in the first season, but was replaced by Peter Bowles for the subsequent seasons due to scheduling conflicts. Notably, Bowles and Keith previously starred together in the classic series To the Manor Born. The show concluded after three successful series.
