Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, a brief police procedural drama, aired on CBS in 2011 as a spin-off of the popular series Criminal Minds. Set within the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit based in Quantico, Virginia, this iteration introduced a new profiling team tackling complex cases. The spin-off was teased in a fifth-season episode of the original series, where the two teams collaborated to track down a serial killer in San Francisco. This crossover served as the backdoor pilot, setting the stage for the new team's dynamic and investigative prowess.
