Black Books follows the irritable and quirky Bernard Black, who runs a chaotic bookshop fueled by his love for alcohol and a knack for provoking others. His naive and cheerful assistant Manny serves as a stark contrast to Bernard's abrasive nature, often enduring relentless teasing simply for being himself. The unlikely duo finds purpose in their friendship, while their close friend Fran turns to them for entertainment amidst their absurd antics. Set in a cozy world filled with books, wine, and witty banter, their greatest challenges arise from their own foolishness.
