Fresh Fields, a beloved British sitcom crafted by John T. Chapman, aired on ITV from March 1984 to October 1986, achieving notable ratings success. Julia McKenzie and Anton Rodgers shine as Hester and William Fields, a quintessential suburban couple navigating the ups and downs of middle-class life. Hester's perpetual quest for new hobbies often frustrates her hardworking husband. The household includes Hester's mother, Nancy, who has a complicated relationship with her ex-husband, and their daughter Emma, who is frequently mentioned but never seen. Memorable moments arise from the antics of their friend Sonia, whose catchphrase, “It's only Sonia!” became a fan favorite.
