Chorlton and the Wheelies, an animated children's series that aired from September 1976 to June 1979, captivated young audiences on British television. Set in the whimsical Wheelie World, the show chronicles the misadventures of Chorlton, a lovable dragon whose mission is to spread joy. Created by Cosgrove Hall for Thames Television, the character's name pays homage to the Manchester suburb where the studio was located, with a delightful nod to his origins seen in the egg that hatches him in the series premiere.
