In 2025, Earth faced a devastating invasion from colossal creatures from another galaxy. During the ensuing conflict, humanity's last hope was a massive robot called Yukio, piloted by Tetsuo Yabusame. As the alien forces closed in, Tetsuo and the Earth Defense Force launched a desperate final offensive but were ultimately defeated.
