Set against the backdrop of the British monarchy, The Palace explores the turmoil following King James III's death and the ascension of his young son, Richard IV, portrayed by Rupert Evans. Created by Tom Grieves and produced by Company Pictures for ITV, the drama features notable performances from Jane Asher and Zoe Telford. Filmed in Lithuania, this 2008 series sought to depict the complexities of royal life and governance. Despite its intriguing premise and rich setting, it struggled to capture audience interest, leading to its cancellation after just one season.
