Welcome to the Family is a single-camera comedy that debuted on NBC on October 3, 2013, airing Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. Eastern. Following Parks and Recreation, the show aimed to explore the humorous dynamics of an unexpected family blend. Despite its intriguing premise and a series order announced on May 10, 2013, the show struggled to find its audience and was ultimately canceled just weeks later, with only three episodes making it to air before its removal from the network's schedule on October 18, 2013.
