Set in the underwater world of 2021, Sealab is a state-of-the-art scientific facility housing a dysfunctional crew of misfits unable to thrive in the private sector. With a staggering annual budget in the trillions, these hapless scientists prioritize bickering and antics over actual research. Captain Murphy, their beleaguered leader, finds himself constantly outmaneuvered by his team, who exploit their cushy government jobs while collecting hefty hazardous-duty salaries. Emphasizing humor over science, Sealab 2021 offers a satirical glimpse into the absurdities of bureaucracy and the quirks of its underwater inhabitants.
