Exploration Volcano

Extreme volcano hunter Chris Horsley revitalizes natural history programming by venturing into the depths of the world’s most active volcanoes. His journey spans from Africa's Great Rift Valley to Central America's Volcanic Arc, providing unprecedented access to the intense environments surrounding these fiery giants. With 800 million people living near 1,571 active volcanoes, Horsley’s mission goes beyond thrill-seeking; he aims to enhance eruption predictions. Employing cutting-edge techniques, he will install an "early warning system" featuring gas monitoring and surveillance cameras, enabling scientists and local communities to stay informed about volcanic activity.
