Survivor România, a thrilling adaptation of the global Survivor franchise, made its debut on Kanal D on January 18, 2020. Contestants are stranded in a remote setting, where they must fend for themselves by sourcing food, water, and shelter. They engage in various challenges to earn rewards and immunity from elimination. As competitors are systematically voted off, tension builds until only one remains, crowned as the "Sole Survivor." The initial seasons featured a grand prize of €50,000 for the winner, which increased to €100,000 by the third season, heightening the stakes for all involved.
