The Water Margin, a Japanese TV adaptation of the classic Chinese novel, brings to life the adventures of 108 outlaws during the turbulent Song Dynasty. Central to the narrative is Lin Chung, who finds himself in fierce opposition against the corrupt local official, Kao Chiu. Rich in themes of loyalty and rebellion, this series captures the essence of the original tale through its dynamic characters and intense conflicts. It’s also known for its thought-provoking philosophical musings, like the intriguing quote, "Do not despise the snake for having no horns, for who is to say it will not become a dragon?"
