Bridget and Eamon portray the quintessential discontented Irish couple of the 1980s, navigating life in the Midlands with their ever-growing brood. Chain-smoking Bridget dreams of an idealized life straight out of a Woman's Way magazine, yet she shies away from confronting the realities of maintaining such a lifestyle, especially when it comes to heating their home, South Fork. Their comedic struggles reflect both the charm and challenges of marriage, as they balance aspirations with the everyday chaos of family life, making for a relatable and entertaining viewing experience.
