Freaky Stories captivates audiences with its unique blend of animated urban legends, originally airing on YTV and Canal Famille. Hosted by the quirky animatronic duo, Larry de Bug, a cockroach, and his gooey companion Maurice the maggot, the show unfolds in a vintage 1940s diner, complete with Rosie the waitress. Often dubbed "a Twilight Zone for kids," each episode explores spine-chilling myths told like campfire tales. Featuring varied animation styles and musical scores, the series aims to hold viewers' attention, emphasizing the motto: "This is a true story, and it happened to a friend of a friend of mine."
