Danny, a young boy whose life was forever altered by his mother's tragic death in a car accident, finds himself isolated by his father. Consumed by sorrow, his father confines him in their home, warning that the world beyond their walls is inhabited by terrifying monsters that would take him away just as they took his mother. As Danny struggles with the constraints of this sheltered existence, the question looms: will he ever escape his father's fears and discover the truth about the outside world?
