Worzel Gummidge

Worzel Gummidge, a beloved children's comedy series that aired on ITV, brings to life characters from Barbara Euphan Todd's books. Premiering in 1979, the show featured Jon Pertwee as the quirky scarecrow and delighted audiences across four series until its conclusion in 1981. The charm of Worzel continued with a revival in 1987 titled Worzel Gummidge Down Under, shifting the whimsical adventures to the picturesque landscapes of New Zealand. This endearing blend of humor and imagination has left a lasting legacy in children's television.
