Vittorio De Sica stars as a newspaper vendor and wealthy heir who escapes to a glamorous resort, thanks to a cruise ticket gifted by an aristocrat friend. Misunderstandings arise when he uses a camera bearing his friend’s name, leading others to mistake him for the nobleman. Amidst the chaos, he captures the heart of a maid, played by Assia Noris, who loves him for his true self rather than the illusion of status. Their romance flourishes, culminating in a joyful union, highlighting the authenticity that outshines the superficiality of high society.
