George (played by Godfrey Cambridge), a bigoted insurance salesman, revels in his prejudiced lifestyle, comfortably nestled in a suburban community where he openly discriminates against African Americans. His life takes a shocking turn when he wakes up one morning to find his skin has mysteriously darkened. Forced to navigate the world as a black man, George faces the very discrimination he once perpetuated. This unexpected transformation challenges his beliefs and sparks a journey of self-discovery and redemption, highlighting the absurdity of racism in a society that often overlooks its own hypocrisy.
