Alexandra Pianelli’s debut feature immerses viewers in the vibrant life surrounding her family's Paris newsstand. Behind the small counter, she captures a tapestry of human interactions with warmth and curiosity, using her iPhone and GoPro to document the eclectic mix of regular customers and wandering souls seeking guidance. "Le Kiosque" unfolds as a poignant exploration of community and connection, while also reflecting on the bittersweet decline of physical media, as the future of the newsstand hangs in the balance. The film beautifully balances personal storytelling with a broader commentary on changing times.
