Buried Country emerged as a powerful multimedia project in 2000, encompassing a book, film, and CD. The stunningly designed book, created by Wendy Farley and published by Pluto Press, laid the groundwork for the documentary directed by Andy Nehl. Filmed by Warwick Thornton, the documentary brings to life the rich history and cultural significance of Indigenous Australian music, with narration by the esteemed Kev Carmody. This cross-platform initiative celebrates the vibrant legacy of a genre often overlooked, making a profound impact across various forms of media.
