A dedicated filmmaker embarks on a project inspired by a true crime, casting an enigmatic young woman who strikingly resembles the story's femme fatale. As he delves deeper, he becomes ensnared in a labyrinth of unsettling mysteries, grappling with his growing obsession for her, the crime, and the blurred lines between reality and creativity. Journeying from the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina to the historic streets of Verona, Rome, and London, he uncovers hidden truths and unearths connections to darker crimes and complicated passions that challenge his perceptions of art and truth.
