In a remote Romanian village under Communist rule, a young couple eagerly prepares for their wedding day. But when Joseph Stalin dies the very night before the ceremony, the state imposes a period of mourning that silences all public celebration. Forced to comply, the bride and groom exchange their vows in complete stillness, their joy muted by the weight of political circumstance. What should have been a day of laughter and music becomes a quiet, solemn act of defiance—a marriage begun not with cheers, but with whispered promises and unspoken hope.
