Countdown to Zero

The shadow of nuclear disaster looms large even after the Cold War's end. Lucy Walker's documentary explores the history of the atomic bomb and its ongoing implications, categorizing potential threats as "Madness," "Accident," and "Miscalculation." Narrated by Gary Oldman, the film vividly illustrates the dangers of nuclear proliferation, culminating in a chilling hypothetical scenario of a nuclear detonation in Times Square, synchronized with the New Year's Eve countdown. Through compelling visuals and expert insights, the documentary addresses the urgent need for vigilance in an increasingly precarious world.
