Presented in an episodic format that blurs the lines between fiction and documentary, the film closely follows the experiences of young women who have lost their connection to their families. They find solace in a temporary youth home, where they create bonds with their caretakers, establishing a new sense of family. La Mif serves as a sanctuary for these troubled individuals, who confront their struggles openly, both with themselves and each other.
