"Black Like Me" recounts the remarkable true story of John Griffin, a white journalist who undergoes a daring transformation to experience life as a black man in the racially charged South of the 1960s. Through the use of medication to darken his skin, Griffin immerses himself in a world of discrimination and prejudice, gaining profound insights into the struggles faced by African Americans. His journey not only sheds light on systemic racism but also challenges societal perceptions, igniting conversations about identity and empathy that resonate even today.
