Set against the backdrop of World War II, the story follows two French civilians who team up with a stranded British bomber crew. Their mission is to journey from Paris to the demarcation line separating Nazi-occupied Northern France from the free South, where they hope to find a route to England. However, their escape is fraught with peril, as they must navigate not only the threat of German soldiers but also the repercussions of their own missteps along the way.
