During the tumultuous events of D-Day in 1944, a cohort of enslaved workers conscripted by the Nazis is confined within an underground bunker while the Allies storm the beaches of Normandy. As they discover ample food supplies, the scarcity of candles becomes a pressing concern. With the dimming light, tensions rise, leading to a descent into boredom, illness, and jealousy among the trapped men. This gripping tale, inspired by Jean Paul Clebert's novel 'Le Blockhaus', explores the psychological unraveling of individuals under dire circumstances.
