A young boy named John becomes the unexpected provider for his troubled family, grappling with a chaotic home life that stifles his aspirations. He falls deeply in love with Mbango, a village girl facing even greater challenges. As John's world spirals further into conflict, he struggles to balance the demands of his dysfunctional family, including an abusive father, a neglectful brother, and harsh sisters, with his desire to protect the woman he loves. Directed by the acclaimed Nkanya Nwai, "Saving Mbango" poignantly captures the complexities of love and familial duty in rural Cameroon.
