Summer 1966 found Jonas Mekas in Cassis, where he spent two months as a guest of Jerome Hill. A follow-up visit in 1967, accompanied by P. Adams Sitney, provided additional footage for this evocative documentary. After Jerome's passing, Mekas returned to the picturesque home in 1974, capturing the emotional weight of that moment in the film's epilogue. The narrative weaves together memories and reflections from Jerome's friends, creating a poignant tribute that honors their shared experiences and the lasting impact of their time together.
