Stranded on the desolate Anatahan island since June 1944, twelve Japanese sailors grapple with isolation for seven long years. Cut off from the outside world, their existence becomes a microcosm of survival and desperation. As time passes, the dynamics among the men shift dramatically, fueled by the haunting presence of a single woman, leading to conflict, obsession, and an exploration of human nature under extreme circumstances. The island transforms from a mere refuge to a battleground for power and desire, revealing the complexities of loyalty and the human psyche in isolation.
