Yvan De Wiel, a Geneva-based private banker, travels to Argentina during a tense dictatorship to step in for his mysteriously vanished partner, whose fate has sparked unsettling rumors. As he navigates the world of shadowy lounges, glamorous pools, and scrutinized gardens, a subtle but intense rivalry unfolds between him and another banker. Despite their contrasting approaches, both are complicit in a quiet yet ruthless brand of exploitation that underscores the darker side of financial power in a politically charged environment. The film delves into themes of complicity and moral ambiguity in the face of colonial legacies.
