Dress designer Jerry McGuire, portrayed by William Collier Jr., struggles with his reputation as a weakling. Determined to change that perception, he secretly enrolls in boxing lessons to confront his brutish rival, Spike Mullins (Johnnie Walker). Jerry's transformation not only boosts his confidence but also captures the heart of store clerk Hilda Jensen (Shirley Mason), who has a fascination with rugged men. Completed in a swift three weeks, So This is Love? showcases early Frank Capra's charm and creativity, coming out just after his other project, Matinee Idol.
