"All men are not created equal, and it's the government's role to enforce that." This intriguing concept underpins the Showtime adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut's short story, "Harrison Bergeron." The narrative follows Harrison, a gifted young man who stands out for his intelligence in a society where everyone wears handicaps to suppress their abilities. As he grapples with the oppressive measures designed to ensure equality, Harrison’s struggle illuminates the tension between individuality and enforced conformity, raising questions about the true meaning of fairness in a controlled future.
