The Stonewall Inn in New York City is widely seen as the birthplace of the gay and lesbian rights movement, particularly following the courageous stand taken by drag queens against police on June 27-28, 1969. This documentary weaves together a rich tapestry of historical footage, film excerpts, and personal stories to provide an insightful audiovisual account of the LGBTQ+ community prior to the pivotal Stonewall riots.
