Yasuni Man

Yasuni Man is a gripping documentary that delves into the fierce struggle unfolding in the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon. Drawing parallels to a real-world Avatar, it chronicles the Waorani people's fight against encroaching oil companies and governmental pressures. Filmmaker Ryan Patrick Killackey, alongside his Waorani friend Otobo, ventures deep into this biodiverse paradise, highlighting the dire consequences of exploitation. As oil interests threaten to dismantle their ancestral home, the film powerfully captures the urgent clash between environmental preservation and industrial greed, emphasizing the profound loss of both culture and nature at stake.
