Vivian Kenway, an aristocrat with a penchant for indulgence, finds himself expelled from Oxford and embraces a life of hedonism. His exploits lead to a series of betrayals, seductions, and opportunistic marriages, all pursued without a hint of guilt. As he revels in his unprincipled lifestyle, the outbreak of World War II offers a stark contrast, presenting Vivian with an unexpected opportunity for redemption through a potential heroic sacrifice. Caught between self-indulgence and the call of duty, his journey explores the thin line between pleasure and purpose.
