Rap legends Tupac Shakur and Christopher Wallace, known as Biggie Smalls, were tragically murdered in 1997, becoming high-profile casualties of the notorious east-west hip-hop feud. Nick Broomfield's documentary centers on Russell Poole, a former detective who uncovers troubling evidence indicating that the LAPD mishandled the investigations. His findings imply a cover-up involving ties between law enforcement, Los Angeles gangs, and Death Row Records, the infamous label overseen by the powerful Marion "Suge" Knight. This gripping exploration sheds light on the dark undercurrents of the music industry and its impact on these artists' lives.
