Molly McKay, a young woman with profound autism, has spent most of her life in an institution after losing her parents in a tragic car accident. When budget cuts lead to the facility's closure, her older brother, Buck McKay, a single advertising executive, takes her in. Struggling to adapt, Buck decides to put Molly through an experimental medical procedure. The treatment leads to astonishing changes in Molly, altering their relationship and challenging Buck's perceptions of normalcy and family bonds.
