At 95, Ishar Singh Grewal carries the weight of a love story fractured by the 1947 Partition of India. When his grandson Nirvair comes to listen, the old man’s memories spill forth—tales of a childhood sweetheart, the chaos of migration, and the ache of a connection severed by history. Yet through the decades, that bond refuses to fade, weaving its way into the lives of those who came after. The past and present blur as Ishar’s recollections reveal how a single, enduring love can shape a family across generations.
