Melinda arrives in Washington D.C. to reconnect with her friend Debbie and pursue a government job aimed at making a difference. She secures a low-level administrative role at the Pentagon, where she quickly discovers a laid-back atmosphere and a boss more focused on personal interests than national security. Undeterred by his advances, Melinda cleverly navigates the male-dominated environment, skillfully implementing her policies while also addressing rising tensions with the Russians. As she rises through the ranks, her determination and ingenuity challenge the status quo, proving her worth in a world that underestimates her.
