Over a decade, Wang's "Chinese Portrait" masterfully blends film and video to create a visual tapestry of life across China. Each meticulously framed scene reveals the diverse rhythms of the nation: from the hurried footsteps of pedestrians in Beijing to the stillness of steelworkers outside an abandoned factory. Tourists revel on a busy beach, while worshippers offer prayers in a quiet village. With an artist's perspective, Wang freezes moments in time, showcasing a country perpetually in flux yet rich in vibrant stories and human experiences.
