Toby Price understands that simply finishing The Dakar Rally is an incredible achievement. The harsh South American landscape shows no mercy to either humans or machines, relentlessly challenging them over 14 days and nearly 9,000 kilometers. However, to emerge victorious and lift The Dakar trophy requires more than just physical strength; it demands immense sacrifice. The Australian off-road racer has faced his share of adversity, enduring over 27 broken bones and a near-fatal neck injury. From his first bike ride at age two to coping with the loss of his sister and best friend, Paying the Price chronicles Toby's emotional transformation into Australia’s first Dakar Rally champion.
